Johnson Controls is being included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for 2017. This is the 12th time Johnson Controls has been named to the North American Index.
Launched in 1999, the DJSI represents the gold standard for corporate sustainability and was the first global index to track the leading sustainability-driven companies based on RobecoSAM’s analysis of financially material Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors and S&P DJI’s robust index methodology. Every year, RobecoSAM assesses the world’s largest companies via its Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), which uses a consistent, rules-based methodology.
“Sustainability is part of the core mission of Johnson Controls,” said Grady Crosby, vice president public affairs and chief diversity officer. “All over the world, our products and services empower customers and communities to consume less energy and conserve resources. We are honored to be recognized for our ongoing efforts to drive sustainability across our operations and through our supply chain.”
